Stainless Steel 904L

Stainless Steel 904L

Stainless Steel 904L is a non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. This high alloy stainless steel is added with copper to improve its resistance to strong reducing acids, such as sulphuric acid. The steel is also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion. Grade 904L is non-magnetic and offers excellent formability, toughness, and weldability.

Application Industries

These materials are not a single material but the name for a family of corrosion resistant steels. Like many scientific breakthroughs, the origins of stainless steel lies in a lucky accident. From the smallest part of the zipper to the largest building skyscraper.
Metal fabrication is widely used across various industrial sectors such as mining, construction, manufacturing, shipbuilding, automotive, aerospace, and energy.
